DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating the release of Surviving the Long Wars: Creative Rebellion at the Ends of Empire.    The STLW organizing committee is excited to announce the release of Surviving the Long Wars: Creative Rebellion at the Ends of Empire with the Chicago-based publisher BRIDGE Books. This event also marks the closing of the Transformative Threads exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center.    Highlights of the Book:     	Edited by Aaron Hughes, Ronak Kapadia, Therese Quinn, Meranda Roberts, and Amber Zora.   	A culmination of a three-year curatorial collaboration supported by the NEH and UIC.   	Features contributions from over 50 artists and scholars, including Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, Kyle T. Mays, Junaid Rana, and Laleh Khalili.   	Includes over 250 full-color images.    Date: Wednesday, December 8, 3-4:30 p.m. CST    Location: Grand Army of the Republic Hall, Chicago Cultural Center  78 E.
