Dr. Jennifer Brier Launches Listening for the Long Haul
Introduction
Dr. Jennifer Brier, Distinguished Professor in Gender & Women's Studies and History at UIC, has launched Listening for the Long Haul: A Long COVID Oral History Project! The launch is a culmination of several years of work by many different people, including Kaimara Herron-July, a PhD Candidate in History at UIC, and Emi Kane of Long COVID Justice.
As explained on the project website, Listening for the Long Haul "is a public history project grounded in disability justice, sharing over twenty oral history interviews with people living with Long COVID and Associated Conditions (LCAC). This site is a place to listen deeply, learn collectively, and honor lived experiences of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic."
An official LFLH launch program is planned for March to coincide with the 6th anniversary of Long COVID. Program information will be posted on the GWS Events page, when available.

Congratulations, Dr. Brier and the entire LFLH Team! This project is a timely, necessary reminder of the immense value of public scholarship and community partnerships!
