About
Marla is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History. She has worked as a journalist and K-12 educator and holds degrees in both fields. As an urban historian, Marla explores the experiences of Chicago youth during the 1960s, focusing on their relationships with social movements, counter-culture, and the War on Poverty.
