"Finally, at noon of the last day of classes we will gather outside University Hall–rain or shine–to celebrate the life and leadership of our late great UICUF president Janet Smith; acknowledge and cheer on our Bargaining Committee; and give recognition to the work of Gayatri Reddy, the recipient of our inaugural annual Janet Smith Organizing Award, and the Department of Philosophy and Program in Global Asian Studies, recipients of our John Shuler Shared Governance and Academic Freedom Award.
