Cultural Centers (CCUSC) Founded as a result of campus activism, the Centers for Cultural Understanding work collectively to produce knowledge and shift university culture, validating the multidimensional lived experiences ofhistorically and currently excluded communities. Native American Support Program The Native American Support Program (NASP) is a Student Success Unit of the Office of Student Success and Belonging at the University of Illinois -Chicago. Pop-Up Pantry The mission of the Pop-Up Pantry is to exclusively serve registered UIC students who are experiencing food insecurity while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Wellness Center We support student learning, academic success, and retention by providing wellness services that promote healthy attitudes and behaviors, empower students to make informed choices, and enhance holistic well-being. Office of the Dean of Students From the UIC Office of the Dean of Students: We provide a student-centered learning environment that offers support, advocacy, and resources that contribute to student success. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Advising As a primary source of college information, academic advisors of LAS Student Academic Affairs assist students as they pursue their academic and professional goals, while also addressing the students’ emotional, cultural, and developmental needs. Rise Act Applications The Retaining Illinois Students and Equity Act was signed into law at UIC on June 21, 2019 and allows state and institutional financial aid eligibility to a subset of students who were previously ineligible. It also includes information on the Student Health Service fee, CampusCare, and additional mental health resources for specific student populations.
